I've been to Ireland four times and to Scotland & England in search of family history. I am compiling all that I can of the family McQueeney. I have much but need much more. My grandfather, Charles Aloysius McQueeney, was born in Clellan, Scotland of Irish parents, Bridget Cullen McQueeney and John McQueeney. They emigrated to Boston in 1907. I suspect John was from County Leitrim and Bridget from County Longford. I am in hopes of developing more substatiated documentation and find their parents and beyond. I am looking for clues and I'm willing to travel to find them.

Hi. I have done some research on my family in the past and have compiled a significant amount of data on my family. Perhaps there's something here that might be of help to you. Please respond.

I found this message board by accident, but I'm interested in the lack of variety of surnames--maybe it's just being Irish or maybe we're all related. I can't go back very far but my grandparents were John Joseph McQueeney and Sarah Fullerton McQueeney. John had a brother William, a brother Thomas, another brother (Mack), and a sister Annie. They all lived in the Western Pennsylvania area around Bradford at the turn of the century. As I remember my grandmother's accent, I would say that they were first generation U.S.

Do you happen to have an "oil" trail in your research? All the men worked in the oilfields around Bradford--at Bingham and Mt. Jewett when oil was discovered in that area. Only one son of that family is left now--Robert McQueeney, who lives at Lewis Run, PA. John Joseph's eldest son, John Fullerton, was my dad. We came to Kansas in 1948--oil. His brother, Francis, moved to Oklahoma in the '50s--oil.

Best wishes on your research--
Dr. Mary Patricia Veronica McQueeney

I am looking for ancestors of Mary A. McQueeney b. 8/1857 in smithfield, RI. m. 3/1878 in Prov., RI to David McCabe. I have her parents listed as Patrick and Anne but am having trouble finding more about them.
Any help on McQueeneys in RI 1850-1900 would be appreciated.

I am granddaughter of Andrew McQueeney of Providence, RI, born around 1880's, died early 1900's. Not sure if he was born here. He had only one child, my father, Walter Andrew, born 1918, Prov/died 1977. I know of only one "uncle" of Andrew's generation, named William, also of Providence. Have no info of any other cousins, relatives at all. If you have any info please rsvp. Thanks

Hi, Janice. While researching my own McQueeney family history, I found some data about McQueeneys in New Haven and Branford, CT cemeteries. Some of the first names match your request. I'd be happy to share info if you don't already have it.
