HI,I'm replying to your message about wanting to research Naimo's,and I too am interested in this name, and our heritage.I'm guessing that with a name like ours, there can't be too many of us,so we might be related somehow, but I don't know.Where are you from? I'm from the New York/New Jersey area, and my mother's name was Doreen, and my biological father's name was Jerry. E-me back when you read this,ok? Jeff Naimo

I am from upstate NY but my grandfather was born and raised around Newark, NJ.
His name was Peter (born in 1916)
His family consisted of a brother named Euguenio, and two sisters, Elsie and Lucy(d).
Their parents were Nicola and Felicetta (maiden name was Bongorna - I think).
He had an uncle named Alfred who dies in 1996 in NJ.
I am not sure if this helps a little but it might help make somee connections.
I am trying to find out more from my grandfather's brother and sister and will be happy to share.
Let me know if anythings pans out. lnaimo@earthlink.net

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you - it has been crazy here. Anyway... to tell you the truth, I am not sure if you and my mom are related. Based on what I am learning about the Naimo's - there are not a lot of us. So it is possible. Where are you or your mom from. Most of the Naimos that I know personally come out of NJ or NY, or at least that is where they ended up after getting off the boat. Then again...I have been talking on the phone with the person who responded here before you and he has heard of my section of Naimos and we are still working on linking that relation and his father spanned Virgina and Michigan. Do you know anything more about her side of the family. Talk to you soon. Leesa

Have a few relatives from Palermo, Sicily & Toretto with the last name of Naimo. They lived in the NY and NJ area after immigrating in the early 1900's. Also it was my grandmothers maiden name. IF your information sounds like it is similar- please contact me. Thanks

My information is limited.
My great great grandfther was Peter Naimo.
He had at least three sons: Nicola, Alfred and John.
Nicola (my great grandfather) had four children: Peter, Eugueni, Elsie and Lucy.
My grandfather is Peter, who had two sons: Eugene and Robert

I dont know what part of italy they original stemmed from, nor
when they arrived here. I only know they arrive at and lived in NJ.
