In the 1930's a man named George Watters toured the US tracing the Nodine family (his mother's). My mother (a Nodine) remembers his visit as a child to interview her grandfather. He ultimately compiled a small book of the Nodine history as he discovered it. I have a copy of that book. I can trace myself back to Andrew Nodine(Andre Naudin) who arrived in the New Rochelle, New York area in the late 1600's. This book seems to cover most of the early geneological history of the Nodine Family, and links to some of the first settlers of the New York area.

Kathy, I don't know about Nodines in NJ, but Nodines are a scarce family. Here is what I have. William Elias Wikoff bc1819 Pa, son of Elias Wyckoff b1799 NJ, m: Harriet E. Nodine b1825, dau of David Nodine b1791/1800 and Ann Elizabeth Runion bc 1800.
David was the son of Samuel Nodine b1772/1775 m: Ann (Anna) Wiseman b1777.
Samuel was the son of Peter Nodine and Sarah Hopson b1752.(Sorry, didn't write down Peter birth and would have to stop this message to go to my program to get it.) Peter was of New York State.
Harriet had the following siblings:Samuel,David,Margaret,William,Alexander and Joseph. Don't have siblings for the grandparents of siblings.
Do have some more on the wives of the Nodine ancestry.
Let me know if this is of any help. I can't tell, you didn't even specify the dates, much less any names.
Hear from you.

Please contact me at How do you tie in the Nodine line in the George Water's book?

Our line is not covered in this book, it goes on down into North and South Carolinas.

Yes, Peter and Sarah are mentioned, as well as a couple of Revolutionary War anecdotes about them. (Wedding date January 19, 1766). He was 4th generation, son of Lewis Nodine(b. 1714 3rd generation), son of Andrew Nodine Jr.(b. 1679 in France 2nd generation) brought to America as an infant by Andrew Nodine Sr.(Andre Naudin 1st generation). Also is listed some references to New York Genealogical and Biographical Society which documents their births, marriages, and deaths. This book I have (about 60 hand typed pages, remember this was put together in the late 1930's)also list some civil war connections of Peter's descendants.
