Edward,

Please email me directly, I am not sure how your line fits in, can you supply dates? There is only one Overhiser family in the United States, so we just need to make a connection. I have alot on my line of Overhisers that went to MI, but do have some on the early Overhisers that were in NY.

I am trying to put together the Overhiser family for my step-sister Jody C. Overhiser Best. Her father James Charles married my mother as a second marriage for each. I have quite a bit back to Gasphier Overhiser the immigrant from Germany from LDS files, not sure I have the Schuyler County ones all straight yet, any help appreciated. Hello George Rogers, e-mail me with what you know please and anyone else with out of state info. Thanks much.

I am presently searching for my mother's side of the family. Her maiden name was Overhiser (Helen) born in Canandagua, NY in 1927. Her father was William James Overhiser and he was married to my grandmother Sarah McMahon. All I know is that they were divorced and that William had a brother Leo Joseph Overhiser and a sister Ann. That is about all the information I have. My mother has sisters, Genevieve Overhiser (Vogel), Geraldine Overhiser (Lane), Joan Overhiser (Dow), and a brother William James Overhiser. That is about all the information I have. If you think you are related at all I'd love to hear from you.
Sincerely, Lynn
