Dear Cathy, I don't know if this is of any significance, however, my Grandmother Adalgisa Grosso's mother was Michelina Palma. She was from Pedula, Italy. She married my grandfather Michele (Michael)Perrotto on June 1, 1893 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, North 8th and Union Ave., Brooklyn, NY. Her father was Vincenzo Grosso. Michael and Adalgisa moved to PA by 1906. Adalgisa had a sister, Mary and brothers, Tony, Philip and Peter who immigrated to Colombia S.A. I hope this might be helpful for you.

Dear Warren, this what I have on the Palma side, not much, but it's a start. My husbands grandmother wasRosina "Rosemary" Perrota, she married Angelo Gatto, arrived here from Italy. Rosina's parents were Michael Perrota and Bridgett PALMA, also from Italy. I believe Sicily. Rosina's sisters and brothers were Margaret, Frank, Angelina, Mary and Antionette. My husbands family lived in Brooklyn and Richmond Hill in Queens. Any of this ring a bell???? Hope to hear from you if it does. THANKS!! Cathy from Parlin, NJ

Hello: I am looking for someone by the name of Mary Perrotto. I am her daughter. She gave me up for adoption when I was 9 months. I am 37 years old now. I believe that I was born in St. Mary's Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I do not know much more about Mary, except that we both have a condition called neurofibromatosis. It is something that is inherited from a birth parent. I am planning on having children, but I do not know much about this condition, and I am hoping that she would be able to enlighten me. I am also interested in meeting the person that gave birth to me. I would like to know if I have any siblings. There is a big part of me missing, and I believe that if I meet her, as well as any of my siblings, it would fill the missing void in my life. Please contact me. Thank you. Sincerely, Judith Perrotto-Symes
p.s. Symes is the name that was given to me when I was adopted. I was married in 1998, and my married name if Sinclair.
