My mother's parents were Angelo and Maria (Conti) Peluso. They came from a little village near Naples to Ellis island around 1905. Maria had a couple of half brothers who stayed back east while the rest came to Illinois. Angelo died in 1925, Maria in 1957.

Hello Pat, this is your cousin Linda, Bob and Sally's daughter, My brother Jim told me that Great Grandpa Peluso lived in Penn. for a while before Great Grandma moved here from Italy and that they were on Ellis Island for about 3 days before G. Grandpa found out about it and they were almost deported back to Italy but he got there just in the nick of time. It was also rumored that he had a girlfriend in Penn. but who this was Im not sure. If I get any more information I will pass it along. Take care Linda

I have been researching my family tree for several months (DiSanti-Siano). I recently found out that my maternal grandmother, Nicoletta Papaceno, came to this country with my grandfather, Luigi Siano, in 1910, when she was 17 years old. Her mother's name was Maria (Peluso) Papaceno and they lived in the village of Sarno, in the city of Salerno, in the province of Campania. This is just south of the port of Naples. The only other information I have on Maria Peluso is that she was married to Giovanni Papaceno and they had just the one child, Nicoletta. Maria (Peluso) Papaceno may have passed away around the turn of the century, possibly in 1903, before her daughter married and came to this country. So far, I have been unable to find out anything more about the Peluso or the Papaceno family. I hope this information helps in some way.

Although your Maria Peluso is not the same as mine,Maria (Conti) Peluso, there may be some connection to my grandfather, Angelo Raphael Peluso. He and my grandmother were from a tiny village northwest of Naples named Statigliano, near the slightly larger town of Roca Romana. My youngest sister did some snooping for relatives while she was in Italy a few years ago, but the task was daunting, there were so many Pelusos in that area she didn't know where to start. If you think I could be of any assistance, contact me any time.

I know this message I'm replying to is old, so I don't know if this is of any help or not, but my grandfather, Arnold J. Peluso had parent from a small village near Naples, Italy. His father's name was Gabriel Peluso. They lived in Massachusetts. The Revere and Chelsea MA area. They had 13 children in all. Hope this may be of some help. I'm currently trying to trace all of it back myself.

Hi, my name is Janet, I am new at this,
my info of my Peluso's family, I have Antonio Peluso born 1824 died 1895 son of Vincenzo and M. Giovanna Dolimele, Antonio married Cristina Orlando, they had children M. Giovanna, twins born and died, Giuseppe, Carmela, Vito and Vincenzo.

look in Ancestry I started adding new Peluso but I am not good with english, and I am not able yet to share my tree, I am learning now, if you can help me wtih this,
Peluso were family at ease so travelled a lot, and they had their land in the countries that they rent, and married where the wife's country, so it is hard to find them all, I also found that they use to die young and they did not remarried because the divorce was not allowed so to find the right document is hard too.
By anychance if you happen to see a Antonio Peluso and a Rosa Muccio, child Filomena Peluso those are the one I am looking for since years now. because of Rosa Muccio I dont find where she was born or died because she was not married with Antonio but lived together. I am also looking in Cook Illinois, because they went there, but died in Italy.

Let me know if you find somehing
Good luck
Janet
