Searching for anyone connected to the Pielou name. Also Peilow, Peelo. Arrived in Ireland before, or after, the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes. Most have left Ireland for all parts of the world.

Pielou, Pielow, et al.

My grandmother's maiden name is Pielow. Please check out the following website which traces the Pielows (and other spelling variations)back to Ireland and possibly to France. Mr Leslie Pielou has done extensive research, assisted by several cousins of mine in Liverpool and Bristol, UK, along with myself to trace the Pielows. The website is: www.pielou55.freeserve.co.uk. I will be happy to answer any questions I can for you.... Regards, Patti

Hello Patti,
Pierce Leslie Pielou was my grandmother's first cousin. The B C Genealogical Society
printed "MY IRISH GRANDMOTHER WAS FRENCH"
which is an update of descendants of Josue Pilot, and also of 'Old' John Holmes, that I found on the death of my aunt.
Your distant cousin,
Robert

Hello Patti,
My grandmother was a Pielou, and have
collected quite a number over the years.
I'd certainly be interested in knowing your
Peilow Lineage. I have a number of members
who are unconnected to Josue. My name is in
the web-site of Leslie Pielou. We had been
in communication some years ago, also with
his eldest brother, Andrew. Do you have any
knowledge of a Captain Patrick Pielou in
Taunton area of Somerset?

Patti,
Would you be good enough to provide me with your lineage. As we are distant cousins I'd like to keep in contact. Since I have retired my life has been devoted to collecting cousins.
I have close to 2,000 Piélou/Holmes descendants, and would welcome any additional lines.
Mine goes back to Mary Elizabeth alice Louise Piélou, born 1866 in Dublin, 1st cousin to Pierce Leslie Pielou, of Immemorial Pielou Memory.

Hi Pattie,
Are you from the Thomas Peilow Branch? I cannot find you anywhere in my records. I too am a collector of Pielou, Peilow and Peelo families. I have almost 1,000 indexed, which does not seem like a lot as families go, but it is a very rare name, though I do have some rarer ones.

Hello again, Patti,
One question I would like answered is: Where do you fit in? I have examined all the records of Pierce Leslie Pielou, Leslie Pielou and my own, and cannot find you. Would you help me?
