I am interested in contacting any Pradier's. My family migrated to Argentina from France. You can find my tree in the Ancestry World Tree.

Thanks,

I am researching the Pradier line aka Pradia, Prader, and sometimes just Prade. My father was Gabrial Pradier, son of Emmanuel Pradier, son of Francois Pradier. Francois Pradier arrived in Louisiana at the age of six or seven from a port in Spain. He spoke French so I think he probably originated somewhere in France. Francois married more than once, but the wife in my line was Rosalie Cadier. There is an entry in the 1850 Louisiana Census of a Francis Prader from Spain but I have not confirmed a connection yet. He is not listed in subsequent years.

Thanks for your reply! I'm currently on a trip abroad, but I will write to you again when I'm back in Argentina in a couple of weeks. I am Pradier on my mother's side.

Dear Marcelo,

I am a member of the Pradier family. My grandmother was a Pradier and moved from France to England when she was 10 years old with her 2 brothers and parents. The family originated from Aix-en provence and also form Draguinon. My grandmother was born in 1888. If you think you may be a member of the same family please contact.

I am descended from Pradiers who also originated from Draguignan (Lorgues) and Aix-en-Provence (specifically Lambert Pradier and his son Marious Pradier b. 1820). I also know of a Felician (Felix) Pradier who was born in Aix-en-Provence c. 1821/2. I am pretty sure these two families are related but not sure how.
Any thoughts?
Regards
Simon

My great grandmother was Harriet PRADIER and moved to England from Aix-en-Provence at about the same time as your connections did .The family were involved in a jewelry business. My mother (sadly deceased) remembered her grandmother Harriet saying that one of her ancestors, possibly her grandfather, had been a lecturer or teacher at the university in Aix.
Harriet married an english portrait painter by the name of Edward John RENTON .He died and left Harriet struggling to bring up two teenage children,Grace Marie and a boy Henry, alone .
