Did Joseph have any siblings per chance? My great-grandfather Christopher/ Christoph (1860-1933) emigrated from Bavaria (town unknown). From what we've been able to find so far he may have three siblings (still trying to connect them for certain)--Victoria, Regina, and Joseph

To date, I know of no siblings. According to Joseph's birth records from Germany " no other illegitimate children were registered in Wollaberg" to his mother Franziska Riedl.
According to same records, he was her first child.

Sorry it took so long to respond.

My husband, Ernst, came to this country in 1950 from Austria. His father, Ernst, was born in Checkoslavakia (sp?) but was transported to Austria during the breakup after the first world war. Riedl is a very common name in that area, I guess.

Esther,

I was going over this old e-mail and wondering what city your husband's father came from?

Ernst is a middle name in my family and my family name is POSSIBLY "Riedl" and this can help me confirming it.

Thanks,

Jason Real
