We think these two spellings are the same. The family arrived in NY, then to IA and MN. Please contact to trade data. Also, Sigmund is a relative.

Samuel from Romania is from a different family, not the Austrian branch, I think.

I am related to the RHOMBERGS of Iowa. Specifically, PHILOMENA "Minnie" RHOMBERG who married a great uncle of mine by the name of JOHN EDWARD LILLIG. She is the daugher of Andrew RHOMBERG and ANNA ? He was born in Dornbirn, Austria. I am looking for other information. I don't think Andrew and Anna went to MN. They were in Dubuque for Minnie's wedding but I don't know if they lived there at the time. I would enjoy hearing from you on any other information you may have. Thanks.

Thank you so very much for the information on Andrew and Anna RHOMBERG. Having Anna's surname is very helpful. Have you any other information on either Andrew Rhomberg or Anna Broell? I appreciate your help.

My Grandmother was Wilhelmine(Minnie Rose)Rhomberg also born in Dornbirn, Austria in 1897. She emigrated to the U.S. in 1904, lived in Omaha for a short time, then on to Arizona where whe met and married John Robert Smith. She bore him 6 children, 3 in AZ and 3 in CA. She lived the remainder of her life in Redondo Beach, CA. Is she possibly related to the Rhombergs in your message??? Regards, Teten

Wilhelmina Rhomberg was born June 12 1879 in Nenzing/Austria. Parents: Joseph Martin Rh (3 May 1851) and Paulina Schmidle (21 March 1856) You can see the ancestors in the Familienbuch of the city of Dornbirn where all the Rhomberg's come from (
