I dont know if this will help, but according to research done by some distant relation. There was a John Michael Sala born 1828 in Penn, His father was George Washington Sala - born 1789 in Penn. His father was Peter Sala Jr. born 1760 in Germany. John Michael had a son named Nathaniel B. Born 1856 in Indiana, his son Samuel Sala was born 1879 in Missouri, His son (my father) was born 1920 in Jeff City Missouri. John Michael Sala was my Great Great Grandfather, perhaps some relation to John Sala the furniture builder???

Many years ago Margaret Sala Campbell made me a book containing the first three generations of her Sala line and Mine. Her Peter Sala dropped down to the Tresslers, including photo I believe of Mary Tressler. The book is now with my brother (i think!) but I will be happy to look around here for it. Peter lived Economay County Pa. and died a pauper there. Earlier they lived in York, Pa. Any info I have is yours. Contact me.
