Sarow Ancestry

I am looking for information about my great-grandfather's ancestors. Wilhelm (William)Albert Jacob Sarow was born 25 Jul 1849 in Germany. He married Augusta Laatsch in 1875 in New York. (She was born 1 Aug 1853 in Germany.) I know William's father's name was Frederick Sarow and that he was born in Germany, but that's all I know. I would appreciate any help anyone might be able to give on his ancestry.

I am interested in finding out if there are still Sarow books available and price. My sister and I are trying to locate info. on our granmothers family. Frederick D. Sarow came over to America from Germany and he married Josephine Herman. There was also Edward Sarow who was born in 1880 and died 1974 and was married to Flossie Hanshew. My granmother was Lasca Wanna Sarow and her sisters were Rutheda Regina and Carol Lelabeth. Plz let me know how far the book goes back and to how current. THANKYOU

Aussie Sarow researching my surname

Hi Jody,

I'm an Australian Sarow currently very interested in researching the origin of my surname. I've written to several Sarow's in Germany, America and my own country (Australia) and now look to yourself for any additional information you may have.

I have managed to find out that my direct lineage travels back to East Germany, but being in the infancy of my research, I have yet to get to the stage where I'm creating direct links. The whole process is fascinating so to keep up the momentum, could you please send me information on the book you mention in your email. Would love to see it if that's an option? I'm happy to give you some historical information on my direct lineage if you're interested, as well as a Coat of Arms I have of the Sarow name (picked up in Dublin, Ireland of all places).

Hope to hear from you shortly.
Sincerely,

Anthony Sarow

Did you ever get any answers to your request on Sarow? I see the request was nearly 2 years ago. I have a little data thru someone else if it is the same family.

Are you related to Phyllis C? I just recently contacted her. I have a little, but am going to try to search more since I am from the area near Wolcottsville.
