What SRACKENGAST are you looking for? I am looking for the one who came to America in the 1700's with 4 other ones. His name was George SRACKENGAST I beleive he came with The SWISHER's form Germany.Nancy

I think these are related- George Srackangast had a brother-in-law named Swisher. George came from VA to OH to MI. His father was Daniel Srackangast who came to America in 1780's. Many of the Srackangast's changed the spelling of their name to Srackengast because people spelled that way. If interested, E-mail

In my tree John Henry Srachangast married Mary E Swisher sometime before 1874. They had a son, Adelbert, on Feb. 18, 1874 in Lawrence, Van Buren Co., MI. If we can make a connection, let's talk!

Found your message while researching the Srackangast line in my family. I have:
John Henry Srackangast
b. 10-3-1839
d. 8-12-1894
Mary Elizabeth Swisher
m. 5-10-1866

Sounds like our paths cross!
