My ggggrandfather was John Henry Stoneback(Steinback) of Bucks Co. PA b. 4-15-1750 in Bedminster Twp. He was married to Dorothea Keller. Do any of these names appear in the family of either of the Stonebacks you described. Any information you have will be most helpful. Thanks.

My g.g. grandmother was a Stoneback from Pa. These are the names that we have in our family Matilda E. Stoneback b.1845, Ely Stoneback b.1842, Malinda b.1866, Alice b.1870, Harry W. b.1872, Katy b. 1874, Tilly b.1977 and Charles b.1879. I am determining these dates by the census I found them in. I think it was in the Salisbury , Lehigh. Please email me at cdoss@houston.rr.com if you recognize any of these names.

Charles Stoneback is my great grandfather. He married Elizabeth Landis also of Pennsylvania. They had 4 children. All deceased that I know of. Mary,Martha, Charles and Alice. Alice is my grandmother and married a Salone. They raised their family in Geneva, NY. Their were 10 children in that Stoneback family though. Melinda, Marcella, Elizabeth, Ida, Henry, Charles, Alice, James, Lucien and William. Their parents are Henry Stoneback and Elizabeth Renninger. They're buried in Red Hill PA. Hope this helps everyone.

Hi I think we are cousins. All of the names you have mentioned are in my line of Stonebacks. My Great Grandmother was Alice Stoneback Smith. She was married to Orlando Smith and they had one son, Fred Smith. She died when he was very young. He was raised by his grandmother, Elizabeth Stoneback. That is as far back as we could find in the Stoneback family. Please email me at kathyd5525@sbcglobal.net. You might be able to shed some light on this side of our family. Fred moved to La. after he got older and never returned to Pa.
Thanks
Kathy
