I am looking for anyone with that surname. My grandfather was Albert Szafarz, supposedly born in Harklow, Poland December 24,1895. He emigrated to the US in May 1916, and moved to Jewett City Conecticut. He married Anna Mis on May 15, 1922. They lived in Central Falls, RI. and Jewett City, CT. Allbert was a barber. He died, supposedly of a heart attack in Detroit MI, in February 1938 or 1939. He had three sons, Henry, Fred, and Stan. Henry was my father. Albert supposedly had atleast two brothers and a sister. One brother, supposedly named Stanly, moved to Chicago in the 20's. Beyond that, the information gets thinner.

I also have ties to the Szafarz line. Catherine Szafarz b.?? Poland d.31Dec1918 in Lackawanna, NY. Her husband (my great grandfather) brought their children to the Detroit,MI area where Catherine's sister lived Mary Szafarz-Paluk. I am waiting to hear from Mary's grandchildren hoping for additional information on the parents of Catherine and Mary. If it connects with yours I'll let you know.

Hello,
You posted a message in response to a general one I sent in Nov. last year. Somehow I missed it. Just found it. I'd be interested in talking to you. I do believe there may be a connection here.

I tried to send you an E-mail earlier this month. Try me at my address mdszafarz@aol.com. I'm not sure I have much after I culled it and put it together.
Mark

I just looked at your message from April of this year. Sorry for the delay. I had a very old computer that made it almost impossible to get log on. Let's talk. My grandfather Albert Szafarz died in Detroit. He may have had relitives there when he died. He was buried in Pawtucket R.I.

Hello,
I'm continuing this thread of Szafarzes!
I am Mark Szafarz's brother (see previous emails!) and, wanting to find that missing link between the families, I am ready to try it again with any Szafarzes living in the US. Please let me know if you know of a Szafarz (or are one) and maybe we'll figure this out one last time. I guess you could say I represent the Szafarz clan of the East.

Hello every Szafarzs in USA,

I am Tadeusz Szafarz from Warsaw, Poland. I was born in Harklowa. My father's name was Mieczyslaw. He was the youngest son of Michal (Michael) Szafarz, my grandfather. My father had few brothers and sisters. Some of them left Poland for USA at the beginning of the 20th century. One of them was Wojciech, which in English means Adalbert. He was a barber and he lived probably in Dietroit. My family had the last contact with uncle Wojciech's wife after the Second World War. The facts mentioned by you may point that we are the same Szafarz family.
Please give me some more information about your family, my email is: tadeusz.szafarz@inetia.pl
