Hello,
Am looking for obit for Anastasia "Sadie" Telencio, nee Sivick, who died in Laflin Boro, PA in 1935. Does anyone have links to local papers that might have on line obits for these years? I've never been succesful with the on line obits unless they are current so your suggestions are welcome.

Hi Larry,
You must be Pat Palmer Keener's cousin? My mother, Ann Maresh, Berwick, PA (now deceased) was always good at keeping in touch with the Telencios. Katherine Asher, Anna Palmer, etc. I sort of lost touch but re-connected with Patty last year when I began looking into my family roots.

Patty has provided some insight but since your grandmother and mine died fairly young, it's tough to make the connection back to the Odrechowa records that are on microfilm.

Am using FamilyTreeMaker software and have input some of the data that Pat shared with me. Let me know if you have the software and I'll share a copy of what I have. I live in Chicago but am working in DC so will check your reply when next at home.

Where do you live? We will have to exchange addresses so we can stay in touch.

Thanks for the reply! Haven't had much time to spend on research since I'm back to work. But am in DC just a few blocks from the National Archives. I am unable to locate date/means when Sadie came to USA. Do you know?

All the best,

Hi Annette,

Have not heard back from you, I guess your still in DC.

I think I might have located John Telencio on the EI data base, the name is misspelled. It is Jwan Telencza, it was a return entry as it is marked non immigrant alien. He is going to see his wife Nacka in Yonkers. Nacka (Naska) is a nickname for Anastasia. I remember my father saying something about my grandfather first going to Yonkers. I still can't find anything on Anastasia.

Hello,
My name is Karen and I am interested in Kathryn Asher. My great grandfather was John Asher, her husband. I found out about Kathryn when I received my great grandfathers death certificate. My great grandmother died young so I wasn't surprised John Asher remarried but I was surprised since I didn't know this fact. I'm curious if there were any children from this union? If anyone knows anything about this I'd be grateful if they would share the information with me.
Regards,
Karen
