To Lisa Leary

Thank u very much 4 info. Our grandfathers were brothers. Mine, John Henry b. 1870, d.1929. I had a Robert married to a Mary Ayers but did not know that that was his first marriage. Cecil was their son and Harold was her son who your grandfather adopted when they were married. I don't know if you knew either of them but Cecil died in Brewster, NY 1981 and Harold in 1960 in Florida. I have some info on their parents if you would be interested. I could snail mail it or e-mail it to you. Again many thanks, this helps fill in some more "blanks." DTS

I'm looking for the roots of my family and researching at this site I discovered that there are Ternes people in USA. I've always thought that the origin of my family was in France, that's what my grand grand father used to say to my grandfather. In a trip to France last year I discovered that there was a Ternes family who owned a large piece of land in Paris. Researching the web I discovered that the most acient reference to the family is from the year 1500 in France. Now I would like to know if there is any connection between the Ternes family in USA and the Ternes family in Brazil. If you have any information please contact. My grand grand father was called Henrique Ternes
