Our family emigrated in the early 1900's from towns in byelorussia called Rovno and Olika. My grandfather was named Khus but came into the US under papers for Morris. His wife's name was Pearl. Any info? Long lost relatives?

My grandfather was Leonard Trachtenberg. He lived in Phila. His mother was Heddi. I don't recall the name of his father.

We had Trachtenbergs in the Philadelphia area. Don't know the names. The family originally came from the Ukaraine A town called Rovno. Any connection

I don't know where they came from. My great grandfather was Max Trachtenberg. He was married to Hattie (her family was from Berlin.) Max was in the garment buisness Levi- Stauss and Botney 500.

Thanks for the reply. I have been in contact with Eric and Honey. Miriam, your grandmother, contacted my grandmother Helen and caught up on old times.

Hi Nina
We know that there was a Philadelphia family of Trachtenberg relatives that we lost touch with. I would love to communicate with you more about it. Do you know where your family came from? We were from the Ukaraine area. Towns called Olika, Rovna and Kostopolya. Any connection?

Classification: Query
it might not be related but my grandma Pauline Friedman Clark's mom was a Trachtenburg (Frieda). Grandma Pauline was born in Lublin, Poland. Not sure where the Trachtenbergs were prior to that. But my Grandmas middle name (Hebrew) is Miriam. Possible connection to her Grandmother? Typical naming convention.
