Paul, can you tell me what branch of the TREMETHICK family you are on? For example, do you know who your ggrandparents or gggrandparents were?
My ggrandfather was Joseph TREMETHICK born about 1845, maybe in Paul, Cornwall, but maybe in Lancashire. I know all the other TREMETHICKs I have found were from Cornwall. So I am still trying to solve the mystery of this Joseph. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Donald. I do not know who Paul Tremethick is or what branch of the tree he is on. He just popped in that one time with a message. Never heard of him or from him before or after.

HI I am Dennis Tremethick, son of Kenneth, who is son of Charles, who is son of Joeseph. That's as far as I know. The family ended up in a small town called Ishpeming Michigan. I understand that the family came from the Cornwall area in the 19th Century.

Hi, Dennis,

I am also from Ishpeming and according to my Family Tree Maker you are my 2nd cousin once removed. My mother was Retha REED, your grandfather's cousin. I knew your dad and your Aunt Carol and others in your family.

Your grandfather Charles' father was Samuel John TREMETHICK and Samuel John's father was Joseph TREMETHICK.

I have a lot of information on the Tremethick family but I am having a problem finding out about "old" Joseph. He did come from Cornwall, married Eliza Emma FRANCIS in New Jersey in 1875, then moved to Ishpeming. They had your great-grandfather; Elizabeth who married 1. Richard WHITE 2. George WOOD; my grandmother, Josepha Jane, who married David REED; Thomas; and Emma who married 1. John BECKERLEG 2. Samuel JEWELL.

I am now retired and living in Hawaii. Where do you live?

Hello Barbara,
I am sorry it took so long to write back. I am married to a Filipina, Edita and we have one son, 14, Neil John (adopted).
I am presently living on Travis AFB, CA. I am in the Army and working for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. I am an Russian interpreter. I interpret for Treaty inspections concerning nuclear missles.
My family is still in Ishpeming. youngest brother John Arthur Tremethick and younger sister, Ann Marie Bailey. She is married with 3 sons. Steven 9, Jonathan 6 and William 3.
I also have an older half brother from my mother's side, Martin.
I understand there is a clan of Tremethicks in Austrailia. Any word on their relation to us?

We are related. Are you still here in California? Your late grandmother Ann was my aunt. I have some history on her side of the family.
