Don't know if this will help. My parents had long time friends named Jim & Ann Truppa in Chicago. Jim was a first cousin to Al Capone - their mothers were sisters. Their daughter lived in Hawaii for many years but last I heard was going to move to Washington state to be near her kids. Jim & Ann also had a son who died as a child. Their last address was in North Riverside, a Chicago suburb. I think Jim's first name was Vincent but was called Jim - maybe Jim was a middle name. I don't know if this helps but hope so. I am new to genealogy but it is sure a lot of fun. Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like.
Sincerely, June Smith

Hello my name is Dawn and my grandmother was also first cousins with Al Capone. The Jim that you speak of also being his first cousin could very well be my great uncle (my grandmother's brother). If you have any information that might help me learn more it would be greatly appriciated. My grandmother just passed away a few weeks ago and I really feel the need to learn more about my family tree. If you could please help with any information - or know of anyone who might be able to help PLEASE email me at daphniedudds@hotmail.com Thank you

Karen, I'm not sure if this is accurate, but my uncle was nunzio who married a denese. they never had children from what i remembered. my grandfather, dillon, was nunzio's brother. my father was named after nunzio. as a child, i remember my uncle as a sweet, gentle man. he and his wife truly loved each other. they were definitely not like the rest of the group. they took care of each other. he along with his wife are burried at queen of heaven cemetary in hillside, il.

My great great grandmother was Maria Truppa born in Brindisi di Montagna, Potenza, Basilicata, Italy. She was married to Nicola Perrelli. Many of the residents of Brindisi di Montagna went to Chicago including my Uncle Nick Perrelli in 1913. I have many Truppa records from Brindisi.

Email me at Genzano1@verizon.net. Let me know what you have and I'll give you what I have. I have records from the Truppa family in Brindisi from 1809 and up. Do you know who Nunzio's parents were? Have to look thru my records for a Nunzio.
