Surnames: Vanderel/Vanderelst/Vanderheld/Vandrell/Van Derel
Yes, there are several Vandrell cousins with whom I have been corresponding.

My greatgrandparents were Antoine (Anton) and Octavie Vanderel/Vanderelst/Vanderheld who lived in Kewaunee County(Casco and Red River Area) during the late 1800's; they had 10 children: a son Felix later went by the name of Vandrell and Van Drell, as did their descendants.

Another cousins ancestor was Gregorie Vanderelst, a brother of Antoine, who's descendants went by the name Van Derel.

Antoine and Gregoire were born in Gez-Doiceau, Brabant Province, Belgium.

Do these people match and of your Vandrell ancestors?
If so, I'd will share the information that I have with you, and I am interested in what you have on the Vandrell's.

Wow! I came across this by mistake. I am doing a project for one of my courses. My last name is often pronounced Vandrell so I thought I'd check this out.

I know my great grandfather Joseph Van Derel, ived in Bayfield, WI. I don't have a lot of family history myself.. I would have to talk to my parents and grandfather.

We always thought we were Dutch, but now I noticed you said they were Belguim. I would be curious to know any other information you have and hopefully I will find out more myself. Thanks.

Hi Heather!
I'm also a Vandrell from Lee's side of the family. I know my Great grandfather (Felix) had a brother named Joseph. Wonder if we maybe related. My gr. grandfather had been a loger up north at one time.
Would love to talk to you!
