Hi Jason,

I am happy to share what info I have on Albrecht's line. This comes from the church records in Simonswolde. His father was Marten Kryns, b 29 Aug 1775 d 7 May 1851. He married Greetje Albregts on 21 Jun 1803. She was born 30 Jul 1782 d 9 Apr 1811. All events were in Simonswolde.

I have several more generations in his line as well as Greetje's and will send them in a private email to you. I also have tombstone photos if you are interested in seeing them.

I am excited to hear from you and hope that you will help me fill in some blanks for Ben's line. You probaly are already aware that the brothers, Martin and Behrend (Ben), married sisters, Amke and Tadje Grussing. I have a lot of info on that line also.

Hi, my mother was a Monk. Her grandparents were Eilet Monk and Albrecht Von Weston. I am interested in the ancestry of the Von westons and anything on the Monk family. I know that Eilet's father was Folkert but thats all

Hello! I am Albrecht Van Westen's Gr-Gr-Gr-Granddaughter. Martin Van Westen's Gr-Gr-Granddaughter, Margaret Van Westen Garms Great Granddaughter, and Leona Garms Bahl's Granddaugher. Thank you for the information about Albrecht's family in Germany. I am intrigued as to why their name is Van Westen. Albrecht's father was a Kryns? Any other information about the Kryns' and the Albregts' that you referred to in your post would be very helpful.

Thank you!

I can provide information on the Baumann branch of the tree.
My gr-gr grandfather was Lammert Baumann who was a brother of Trentje Baumann. I live in Flanagan, Livingston, Illinois, not far from where Albrecht & Trientje are buried in the St Petri cemetery. I also know alot about the Wiechmann family (Trientje Van Westen was the first of three wives of Albert Wiechmann). Let me know what information might still be looking for.

Hello! How exciting! My Albrecht has a birthdate of about 8 weeks earlier, but the death date is the same. The dates I have for Trientje are the same. The only thing that confuses me is the Nebraska reference. I have a picture of a headstone for the two of them and it says it is in Illinois...at the Saint Petri Evangelical cemetery in Livingstone County. I will try to attach this picture to this e-mail. Perhaps he died while visiting family in Nebraska and then was buried in Illinois? Wow. I love history. Any information you have would certainly be of interest. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your reply!

I might be able to help with the Nebraska confusion. I don't know what your reference to Nebraska is, but, cemetery where they are buried is in Nebraska Township in Livingston County in Illinois.

Oh! I see! Yes, that does help. And makes much more sense. Well, I looked in my notes and saw that there is a son named Behrend who died in Nebraska. Perhaps this should also be Nebraska Township. Would make LOTS more sense.
