I am looking for any info on Joseph Leon Voisin who married Evelyn Haywood in Fon du Lac Michigan in app. 1870. He was supposedly born in Leige Belgium in 1840 and I can't find a trace of them.
thanks

I have him on a ship named "Phoenix" which came to America from Germany on Oct. 1,1754. Jean was a frenchman. On the ship's list they have him listed like this:
Voisin/Nagbarr, Jean Pierre

Where did you get the list of the Phoenix?
I would like to know where it departed and arrived etc. I will have to prove this is our Jean somehow? If it is. My Jean never went by Jean Pierre and Pierre is never mentioned in any related documents not marriage, court or his last will and succession. This may not be him, but I am still interested as I must rule it out if it is not him. Thank you so much for responding and I hope it turns out to be proff I need but again the dates would be wrong he states in his will in 1820 he was in the Louisiana 40 years. Then again, he could have been in the US more. ?? I will check, thanks again.
