For anyone researching this name: there was a Yenowine family listed as one of the first settlers of Jefferson Co., Louisville, KY in the Middletown/Jeffersontown area. They are mentioned in the book "Middletown's Days and Deeds" by Edith Wood in 1946. Frederick Yenowine had a son, George Bence Yenowine in 1814. This book is at the Louisville Free Public Library or for sale at the Middletown History Museum in Louisville and the website is www.middletownchamber.com ----Good Luck!

Thanks so much. My Grandma's maiden name was Bence and her grandfather was Charles J. Bence, I thought he was Phillip and Ann Yenowine's son. I'm sure we fit in there somewhere, I just have to figure it out.
