Looking for information on grandmother, Jeannie Easter Yerty. Married Isaac Abraham Moore, had three children, George, Wilson and Ivan. She and I.A. divorced and she married Pete Caputo who was a barber. They lived in Wilkinsburg(sp). No other information is available due to divorce. Would appreciate any help. Thank you. My father George, was born in Fayette Co. Pa. in 1912. His birth certificate says he was born in a township named German. Can't find it on the map.

Have been doing research on family for 50 years, just new on the computer. Obviously, the Yertys of Washington county are your ancestors; I`m just getting into them. They came through Huntingdon county earlier and are probably related to mine. Am working in this direction.

Merle, was so excited to get your reply. Yours is the first positive response I've gotten. Jeanne Ester yerty was my grandmother, she and my grandfather divorced and so did my mother and dad. So information is very scarce. She married Isaac Abraham Moore, they had three children, Wilson, George and ivan. George was my father. She later married a Pete Caputo who was barber on rebecca Ave in Wilkensburg, Pa. We moved to Kentucky after my parents divorced. I do not have any information but what I have told you. Just finding the name Yerty has been difficult. If you could please share anything you have I would be very grateful. I am in Texas. Let me know. NARAGO@aol.com

My brother, Fred Yerty, came by to see you a couple of summers ago. You stated that you did not think we had a common ancestry, but we had to come from somewhere and our name is not that common. William Edgar Yerty (Ed or Edgar) was our grandfather and we have an old photo of Andrew Yerty in his Civil War uniform. Do you have any odd info that does not tie in with anybody else that we might follow up on? Thanks, Caarol J (Yerty) Lyon

Merle-My great-great grandmother was Mary Ellen Yerty, daughter of David, who married David Fulker, who moved their family to South
Dakota. I have heard from my grandmother that
Mary Ellen stayed in Miami County, OH w/her
parents (David, and Katharine?). I did find this much on 1910 Census-but I have no idea about David's lineage. I know you are working
on Yerty's in PA, but I wonder if there is a connection between these Yerty's in Miami Cty,OH. Please respond if you know anything at all. Thank you in advance.
