My husband's grand father may have been a cousin. I have just started trying to work this out. I have information that indicates there were four brothers that came to KY. John, William, James, and Joseph, (I think)
Maybe we should share information.

I will get my info from daughter's files. We have researched past 6 months or so. My dad did a lot of research in the late 50's and 60's from Court house records and Vital Statistics here in Ky. Came up with a lot. I lived overseas(France) during that period and much was lost on my part. He sent a lot of info to California to a woman doing research on her husband's family(YUNT). She supposedly was in the process of writing a book on YUNT history but dad never heard the final on that! I will relay what I have if you would like. The names you gave were common for that period but who knows. We may find a "common" link.Check message board from time to time. I have some medical things on the calendar so I may be slow in getting info to you..sorry. Good luck on your search and I hope I can be of help soon.

Hi
No hurry, I'm going to send for the SS information on my husband's grandfather and that should open up some names. I think I know who you refer to about the women out west, my husband wrote to her and I have the letter she sent back. I, too wonder if the book was ever written.
Good luck with the medical stuff.

Hi! Ever heard of Dora Yunt who married a Shouse? I think she had a son, Leonard Shouse. I am searching for her husband's name.

The name sounds familiar. I will check it with my Mother. She is 88 but her memory of old YUNT names is still good.I have heard of a SHOUSE in the family. May be coincidental but I will check.
