David William Gobbet is my great-great-grandfather. We are interested in tracing his brothers in the film industry.
Thomas James died 29th november 1915 aged 34. David William was probably with Charles Urban Trading Co, Urbanora House, Wordour St - 1909-1912.
We have a list of films David was involved in, a copy of the book of filming Lassoing Wild Animals In Africa and a clip of film of that film on CD. WE also have some photos of the cast and crew of some of the films.

There is information on my public tree about TJ and DW, which you are welcome to view.
DW married Gertrude Godley in 1908 and they had a son Royston Henry born in Sussex in 1912.

As far as I am aware DW was with Cherry Kearton filming in East Africa around 1910.
'Col.Charles “Buffalo” Jones Lassooing Wild Animals' was released around 1911.

If you want to give me your email address, I can send you my notes on the Gobbett brothers.

Hi my name is Stephen Barnabis, i am the director of a company called The Soul Project. A social enterprise set up to work with young people from disadvantage backgrounds.

Our family activity centre is now what used to be the old film studio on 245 wood street, walthamstow, E17 3NT.

We are about to start working with young people about the history of the film studio, the films that were made and people that were involved.

If you have any pictures or anybody could come to talk to our young people i would be most grateful.

Thanks
Steve Barnabis
