I am searching for information about Benjamin Allebach (Allenbaugh) who was born in Pennsylvania in 1818. He was married to Elizabeth Roderick, and they had 4 children, one of whom was my Grandfather, Morris R. Allenbaugh (born Aug.8,1863).

Maybe you can give me a little help.How many different Allenbaughs clans are there? My grandfather and 3 of his 4 brothers came over from Germany in 1885-1886. It appears that Christ and George came first and were followed the next year by Louis and Henry(my grandfather). One other brother, Peter, remained in Germany. They all settled in Jefferson Co. Pa. Any possible connection? If not, any ideas where they came from in Germany? I know it was the Alsace-Lorraine area but thats as far as I can go. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on Sophia Allenbaugh, sister of Christian, Louis, Henry, and George Allenbaugh. Sophia Allenbaugh married Charles Yahnke in Punxsutawney, Jefferson, PA on 25 Oct 1890. Sophia's death certificate lists her parents as Christ Alenbaugh and Charlet Ulmer, both born in Germany. Specifically, I'm trying to find out where in Alsace-Lorraine they were from. Any help would be appreciated.
