My name is Max Artusy.

My gggrandfather was Carlo. He had three brothers, John, Bernard, and Jacob who came from Rovigno Croatia, in about 1840.

Any information on these people would be most interesting.

If you have any info on the name split between Artusy and Arto, all of the people in this thread would like to know this.

Regards, Max Artusy

Dear Max: I'm afraid I can't provide any information on your family genealogy but I think you and I met briefly many years ago. Were you a high school student in Eugene, Oregon in 1964-65? Are you the son of Raymond Longino Artusy and Jane Artusy? If this is the case, your father and I were graduate students in the Dept. of Geography at the University of Oregon at that time. Your dad had a Ph.D from Louisiana State in Geology and was working on a second doctorate while I was enrolled in the Master's program. My wife and I spent an evening at your home and we were introduced to you. I have often wondered what happened to your dad. If I remember correctly, I received a call from him somtime in 1966 or 1967 from Boulder, Colorado but that was the last contact I had with him. If you have a few moments I would appreciate hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
Barry Mayhew, Ph.D.
