I'm looking for information on a Daniel Bowler
who lived in Michigan. His son, Joseph Phillip
Bowler, Sr. b. 5/18/1852, married Agnes Virginia
Levingston b. 4/19/1864. They both died in
Orange, Texas

Do you have any information on this line.

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Gay

It's looking more like my Bowler ancestor is a Boler. She was born in Ireland about 1840 but most likely died in northern Michigan after 1900. I'll save your message and let you know if/when I find any links.

My mother, Hannah Marie Pearson (nee Bowler)
arrived in NY Nov 1926 on the 'Celtic'. Her father was Timothy Bowler b. Feb. 4, 1877 (m. Bridget Mangan, Drom West, Glenbeigh. Hannah's grandfather was Michael Bowler b. circa 1845 Curraheen, Glenbeigh, Co Kerry, m. Johanna Sullivan b. 1846. I would like to share information with other Bowlers from Co. Kerry.

Find your father's death record and his father's death record. Also obituaries. Do you know your grandmother's maiden name? If you know that and where they married, you could find a marriage record for them that might give their parents' names. The tricky part for me has been trying to figure out where in Ireland my Boler relative came from. No clues yet! Good luck and keep me posted!

My grandmother was a Bowler and did some
research on our family tree before she
passed away. We have a Bridget Bowler who
married John Cashen February 14, 1860 in
Kingsbridge, Ontario. Bridget was born in 1835
in Dingle Penninsula County Kerry, Ireland
and died 1928 in Colerain, Minnesota and
had she has listed that they had 8 children who
lived passed their youth. I don't know if they
are who you are looking for but I found it
interesting that the dates and info you had was
very similar to ours.

THAT'S HER!!

I'm almost sure that's our Bridget!! I'm so excited! Some of her children and grandchildren ended up in Coleraine (my father's husband was born there!) and the dates look about right. This is thrilling! How is your family related to my Bridget?

My Great Great grandfather was Maurice Bowler
who is Bridget's brother. I would be very
interested in hearing how you are related to
her and if you have any other information
I'd be very greatful in receiving whatever
you have.

Bridget Bowler was my husband's great grandmother. My husband's grandmother, Margaret Cashen, was Bridget's daughter. That makes you and MY daughter third cousins, if I'm counting right. I had only recently found her maiden name, and in Iowa Michigan census records, it's spelled both Boler and Bowler. My e-mail address is patricia.a.wente@us.arthurandersen.com. What's yours? We have another new cousin, Dennis Thorseth, whose grandmother was Bridget's youngest daughter Nellie. Please e-mail me and I'll get the info I have to you. I am excited to learn more about Maurice. Some of the Cashen grandsons have that first name! Now we know where it comes from!
