Greetings,

I see I'm not the only one running into walls
trying to find some info on the DANOS heritage.
I've been able to get to my greatgrandfather,
a Peter Danos married to Augusta Bourg. Their son,
my grandfather was Warren Danos. The Bourg
family seems to have pretty extensive Acadian roots
although I'm still trying to tie the strands. I know that
Peter Danos was something of a cajun because my father remembers
him speaking creole style french. However, everything else points to
the DANOS name coming from Greece. Any ideas? I noticed
that some people have mentioned a book with info on Danos
surnames and trees. Anyone know where I can buy a copy? Also, any info
offhand you might have on my side of the DANOS tree would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Peter Danos
