My grandparents were from Wigan, England. There names were Thomas and Mary Eccleston. They immigrated to Canada around 1900.

Thought I would drop you a line, my father Kevin is from Oldham, Lancashire and migrated to Canada in 1965 he is now 60, I am 31 and was born in Toronto but my mother brought me and my 2 sisters back to the UK in 1974 when they split up. I now live in Chester in Cheshire which is 45 miles away from Wigan!

I have been serching family ancestor information and have found out that my grandfather was adopted by his aunt and uncle Albert and Clara McComb - but he was adopted from the Eccleston family. I am tracking back as far as I can to find out who his original parents were. His name was Charles Leland Eccleston McComb. Tell me if this is name that is familar with you. Thanks for your help.
