I am looking for more info on Mattie Bailey Ganaway. Her father was William J. "Buster" Bailey and mother Roena. I am almost positive that this Will J Bailey is brother to my Isaac Mason Bailey, Ike Bailey as he was called. Ike had several children, one of whom was Zebedee Bailey, called Zeb.

my great aunt, mamye (mamie) webb married richard ganaway and they had at least 3 children----mania---ruth---and juanita ganaway. they lived in district 6, gibson, tn. mamye's niece mary c. webb lived with her and richard.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Do you think your Ganaways are connected with the Bailey's way back? My Will J. Bailey was born in 1860, but I don't have any other info, except that he was living with his brother Ike M(ason) Bailey in the 1900 census of Gibson Co TN. A Will Bailey also signed Ike Mason's son's marriage certificate (sons name was Zebedee Bailey)...This Will J. Bailey's parents (as far as I know) are father: John W. Bailey b. 1827 Granville Co NC and Nancy Porter b. abt 1838. Another brother was Clem C. Bailey.
