I believe I may be Oscar Krieg's great-granddaughter (one of many). I am just starting to find information on the family and would appreciate exchanging information.

Hello cousin.

Yes, that is my grandfather. I am the youngest daughter of Joseph's oldest son, Joseph. (As you can see the family was less than original with names.) Joseph and Ethel had 6 children, Joseph, Leo, Ethel, Ann, Rita, and Dorethy. There are an amazing number of offspring from this group. My mother and father had 8 and then there is a tangle of cousins. My brothers and sisters actually know more about the family than I do, and the aunts and uncles are still around. I will put the word out about this site. I have no information on Oscar, but one of his grandchildren (my aunts or uncle) might know more.

Nice to meet you.

Hello Donald,

I am one of Ann's sisters. I am a bit older then her (and wiser if I must say so myself). I have been trying to also trace (actually just started about a week ago) the family, however, my information (a copy of my grandparents wedding annoucement) states that my Grandfather was the son of Clarence Krieg, Sr. It lists his children as being Charles, Adolph, Clarence Jr, Alice Reilly, Elly Boilin, Mamie, Mae and Joseph. I am not sure about the name difference but so many names match up. Would love to chat and exchange as much information as possible.

Hello Donald,

Just a brief note to let you know that we are still looking for information on Clarence/Oscar Krieg. Have you been able to come up with any new leads. I have communicated with a decendant of Elizabeth Krieg. From the information I have been able to gather Elizabeth would have been the sister of Clarence/Oscar Krieg. This was confirmed by my grandparents wedding announcement which state that Mr and Mrs. Beckermeyer (Elizabeth's married name) was in attendance at the wedding. I have a copy of my grandparents' wedding announcement and a couple of articles about Joseph Krieg if you are at all interested.

Hope to hear from you
your cousin (however distant)
Loretta

I am the great granddaughter of a Joseph Krieg....
Mine lived in Milwaukee for a few years in the 1870's....

He married a Marie Doller, she was a widow by 1878, she then lived with a Frank Krieg & a Charles Horah, they all lived above & ran a grocery store.....

Joseph & Marie had sons named Charles & Anton, who was my Great grandfather, he married an Emma, they had son named Arthur, my grandfather, who married an Anna Oelschlager, they had son named Arthur, my father...there were other children, I just don't have ALL the info yet...
Could one of your Joseph's be mine??
