I don't know if you are aware of this, but there is a fabulous book that is over 500 pages by Duane H. McElmurry entitled the McElmurry Genealogy. It is available on the Google site for free downloading and printing to family members. It comprises ALL the McElmurry line from the first settlement here from Ireland/Scotland. Extensive research has been done with lots of information on the history of the original Duncan. I just downloaded it today and I find it fascinating, very well organized, and easy to follow.

Luther Hammock McElmurry is buried at Brents Cemetery in Conway county, Arkansas. Carrie McElmurry (1895-1970) is buried beside him. Was Carrie his wife? Were they or any of their children related to the Brents families of Conway county?

Do you still have a copy of this book you mentioned? I looked it up on Google books and for some reason it is not allowing me to download it anymore... if you have a copy and would be willing to send it to me I would really appreciate it! THANKS.

I just wanted to let anyone know that may come across this post that even though this is a wonderful book that not all of the names, dates, and locations included in this book are accurate. So you will still need to cross check all names, dates, and locations with public records. Hope this helps someone!
