Hi Tony, My name is Naomi Alvarez Crain and I am a descendant of Theresa Gsell and Esteban Ximenes through their daughter Theresa Ximenes and Isidro Zuniga. I am interested in the Ximenes families of Floresville, too. I am sure that you have probably realized that the children of the Gsell- Ximenes family who married Zunigas were marrying into the same family. Ximenes siblings were marrying Zuniga siblings. But what you might not know is that the Zuniga children's mother, Crisanta Gomez had been married before to a Pedro Ximenes and had FIVE children that continued to live in the Wilson County area.
I am interested in these other Ximenes, do you have any info on them? Please write back, I have other questions on these families. Naomi

Hi! I am researching my granddaughter's maternal lines. Her 3rd great grandfather is Juan Ximenez, born 1842 in Texas and died 1918 in Floresville, TX. He was married to Antonia Castaneda. (Census, Scared Heart Film - LDS) On a recent trip to Bexar Co., I found that a Juan Ximenez was born to Francisco Ximenez and Brigida Garcia on Feb 24, 1842 (Index to the San Fernando Baptismal Records 1812-1850). The 1850 Census shows Juan 'Emanes', age 9, living with Francisco Ximenez and Trinidad Ximenez (age 16). This Census also shows that Francisco is 76 years of age, b. in Mexico. I have eliminated the line of Juan 'Gimenez' (1810-1877) that was at the Seige of Bexar. Can you tell me if I am on the right track? Have you encountered what appears to be yet a third line of Ximenez in the same area? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Morgan

I write to you from Belgium, Europe. Has anyone of you ever heard of someone named Joe M. Ximenez in Floresville (Standish Street) ? I met him a couple of years ago when I was an exchange student at Floresville High School. I haven't heard from him since a couple of months. Could you please give me his e-mail address (private or at work?). Here's my e-mail: jleb78@skynet.be.
Thanks for answering this message.
Julien.

Any Information on the parents of Pedro Ximenez born 1816 from Floresville?
He was married to Crisanta Gomez born 1820 . I'm at a stand still . I see the names mention in a book called .. With The Makers Of San Antonio by Frederick c. Chabot. Would love some help on this.
