I am seeking any information that I can find about Henrietta and her family. I know that her maiden name was Siebe and that she was born in Alswede, Westfalen, Preussen (on March 26, 1841 I believe).

All I have to go on is an old letter, written in 1879, by Henrietta’s mother in Prussia to another daughter, Louise Siebe Nobbe, in Illinois (my ggrandmother). The letter shares the news that Henrietta’s husband had been dead for 4 years (1875?) and provides her sister’s address as “Mrs. Henrietta Peter, W. Schrimper #510, Cincinnati, Ohio”.

A search of the 1870 census has yielded nothing. Any and all suggestions as to how I might continue my search would be very much appreciated.

Myra, I am very remiss about reading other Alswede notes, have you ever gotten any further with your search? Lots of Siebes' in Alswede and Blasheim. I have the older films of Alswede but not the much past 1808. Do you know anymore details?
