Transfer 2014 Back to 2012

I am wondering if anyone out there can give me some recommendations on how to transfer my tree in the FTM 2014 program back to the FTM 2012 program. I've had sync problems for over 2 weeks and the patch didn't fix anything. So the only thing I can think of is going back to the 2012 Software where I had no problems. I ask for reccomendations because I don't want to loose any of the media attached to my tree currently. Any help is welcomed ... THANKS all.

If your tree is on Ancestry.com, unlink your tree (in the Tree Settings), delete your FTM tree and re-download. Someone else can give you suggestions if you have a FTM tree. I'm not at home now so can't check it.

I wish I could do that when my FTM stopped syncing to Ancestry I started doing all my work in FTM. So my most current tree is on FTM. It is linked to a tree on Ancestry but has failed to SYNC with it for a few weeks.

I believe you can export the FTM 2014 file to a 2012 version.

When you first imported your FTM2012 file into FTM2014, did you check the box "Make a copy of FTM2012 file"?

If you did, that copy should still be on your hard disk, unless you've deleted it. It is probably a *.ftmb file that includes the associated media folder inside it.

But this backup wouldn't have entries you've made since you changed over to 2014.
