FTM 2012 - free membership subscription problem

I've just bought a new and unused FTM2012 package, with 6 months premium membership to Ancestry. But when I open the software and try to activate the subscription, nothing happens. On top of this my tree is not syncing, I am getting the message ' Family Tree is unable to connect with the Ancestry TreeSync server at this time.'

Any advice welcome!

Right Panel

Does your subscription show that it ends when you expect it to?

Can you link to ancestry via the WebSearch Workspace, ie do a search?

Can you enter the ancestry website through your browser?

If your subscription doesn't end when you expect it to, you can call their support phone number. Helping with subscription and billing is one thing that their support line actually does pretty well. (Asking them to deal with the program itself is a challenge for most support people on the phones.)
