James A. MOORE, 80 years old, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at the Independence Sanitarium. He had been ill several weeks. His home was at 424 East Short Street, Independence. He was born in Lafayette County, Missouri, August 5, 1836, and served under General PRICE as a Confederate soldier. He was the father of William R. MOORE, a lawyer of this city, and of Miss Elizabeth MOORE, who lived with him. The funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock this forenoon at Pleasant Prairie Church.
