Angeline Wapiennik, 79, formerly of Krakow, died suddenly Friday, April 20, 2007. The daughter of the late Joseph and Martina (Szczepanski) Swiecichowski was born March 27, 1928. On May 3, 1947, she married Teddy J. Wapiennik in Chicago. The couple made their home in Chicago, where they worked and raised their family. In 1980, they made the move back to Angelica. In 1991, they moved to Burlington to be closer to family. Teddy died Aug. 27, 1997.
Angeline was the loving mother of Carol Wapiennik (Ron Lindstrom),Lorraine (Gary) Oldenburg, Roy (Debra) Wapiennik, and Betty (Ken) Novitski; loving grandmother of Sheri (Vince) Sauberlich, Ted Oldenburg, Matthew Wapiennik, Amanda Wapiennik, and Andrew Wapiennik; loving great-grandmother of Dietrich, Josephine, and Joseph Sauberlich; loving sister of Theresa Surna, Katherine Jordie,Ambrose Kerr, and Tony (Carol) Swiecichowski; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Teddy, Angeline was preceded in death by four sisters, Monica, Victoria Kolakowski, Lucille Mihalski and Anastasia Nawrocki; five brothers-in-law, Ray Kolakowski, Peter Mihalski, Paul Nawrocki, Stanley Surna and Ervin Jordie; and one sister-in-law, June Kerr.
Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Closing Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Casimir Church, Krakow.
