Distiller in Newry around 1820

Distiller in Newry around 1820

Surnames: Monteith, Taylor

Marion Monteith first married John Taylor in Edinburgh in 1808. She had three children (the last born c1816).

At the time of her second marriage in Edinburgh in 1822, she was a Relic of first husband John Taylor, who was listed as 'distiller, Newry'.

I can only assume the Newry mentioned is the one in Nth Ireland. Are there any records available that could pin my John Taylor to Ireland before he died?

Thanks
Kylie

Kylie, checked on Roots ireland site and there is a death in 1816 of a John Taylor, but it is in Co meath, which while not newry isn't that far. Don't have more details without paying for record. Sorry.
