I'm looking for info on the Breen Family that lived in or around Stoneham. My father in law is from that area, his father's name was John (Jack) F Breen and his mother was Alice E Finnegan. Trying to find out more about his mother who passed away when he was young. Alice's father and mother were John Finnegan born in Ireland and her mother was Hannah M also born in Ireland. John's parents were David Joseph M Breen born in Boston,Mass and his mother was Emma J White was born Arlington,Mass.

Hi,
I'm not sure if I have the right family, as you didn't give years of birth.
Possible match for Alice's parents John & Hannah Finnegan in census 1910/1920/1930 all Stoneham MA, the only problem is John Finnegan born MA, but Hannah born Ireland, also they have a birth year difference in 1910 to the other census.

Hi,
If its your family above, then Hannah m Finnegan's maiden name was Foley, Its on a couple of her childrens birth indexes from familysearch.
So you could have a chance to trace her in Ireland.

Hi there!
I am also researchin the Breen family - I live in Ireland, CO. Wexfrod, wjere a large family of Breens lived in Oldcourt, out side New Ross. I believe at least four of them went to the US in the late 1800s, early 20thc. I have located two - David Breen, who went to Jackson Heights New York, and his sister Ellen also went there.
I have lost all trace of a brother Robert, who I believe was born around 1869. I think he may have married a Mary, and may have had two daughters, Margaret & Sarah and a son William. But this may be in accurate.
I have reason the believe that he may have gone to the Boston Area, and he had a sister Mary / Marie / May who travelled out to him after a scandal here in Wexford. Id love to know if anyone knows anything about them!!
Linda
