I am interested in what anyone knows about Smith McRhea Clagon's ancestors. I know he married Mary Elizabeth Blount and had 7 children, one was Mary Carthene Clagon, my husband's Ggrandmother. I don't know anything about where Smith was born or his ancestors. Thanks for any help.

No problem. Like I said there is probably more but I'd really have to start writing down stuff and connecting the dots to provide more. Hope that helps!

Hello, Im actually looking for some information on the Clagon Family as well. In the 1870 census there was a Phoeby Clagon (black)along with her daughter Macey Clagon and Edward Clagon who was listed under Smith Clagon's family. I believe she may have been a former slave for his family. I check his slave schedule for 1860 and I saw a woman who was close to the same age Pheoby would have been. Is there any documentation or will that names his slaves?

Eric, forgive me for piggy-backing, but does your source list Hubble (Hubbell), Patrick, or West? Thanks for your time and effort.
