Baier's of Franconia

Baier's of Franconia

Surnames: Baier
Carl Baier (1854 – 1906) came to the States in 1872 with his sister Barbara (b 1850). Their parents were Franz and Barbara Baier. Family data says that they were from “Hof, Bavaria.” This is presumably the Hof in Oberfranken, but “Unterfranken” is given on the ship’s manifest as their place of origin. Charles settled in Lebanon, PA. We think that Barbara went somewhere in the Baltimore-Washington area. Can anybody help me find Barbara’s trail?

I looked up the city via Wikipedia. It states "Hofheim in Unterfranken is a city located in the district of Haßberge, Unterfranken, Bavaria in Germany." I assume the Hof you referenced is actually Hofheim.
