Can anyone help identify Dixey Ward, Sr. who lived in Prince William Co., VA and died between 1759 and 1761? He had sons Dixey Ward, Jr. and Elias Ward. Elias moved to South Carolina and had a son Dixey Ward per a military record.

DIXSEY WARD. South Carolina Militia. B. 14 Apr 1760 in Prince William Co., Va., son of Elias Ward. He lived near Statesburg, Sumter Co., SC, when he enlisted in the SC Militia. His father had lived in the "High Hills" on the Santee River, SC. He applied for a veteran's pension in 1832, when he was living in Fairfield Dist., SC. (Pension #S22038)
