I would like to find out the origin of Ros, del Campo, Cárdenas and Carreras surnames in Cienfuegos (Cuba). My great mother was born in Cienfuegos. Her father was called Serafín Ros Cárdenas and her mother Felipa del Campo Carreras. That is all I know.

I just realized that Serafin Ros y Cardenas remarried con una Del Campo, which you fill the first name Felipa & maiden name Carreras had four more children: Rita, Margarita, Pablo(padre del Dr. Alberto Ros) y Josefina(madre del Dr y Profesore de la Universidad de La Habana, Federico Ordetx y Ros). I am from the first wife Manuela Utrilla which she had 8 children, let me know if you want the children names. Oscar A. Ros

I am related to Serafin Ros y Cardenas, born in La Habana on 12/9/1832 died in Cienfuegos on 12/29/1891 was married to Manuela Utrilla born en la Esperanza, L.V. on the year of 1830 & died on 17 of January 1n 1866.
Serafin's father name is Sebastian Ros born in Blanes, Cataluna was married to a Cardenas & they had a daughter name Dolores Ros y Cardenas & a sister married to a Ortegas.

The Cabrera in my family tree lived & died in & around Bayamo, Oriente, Cuba in the 1800's to 1960's. Leonela Enamorado y Cabrera born around 1850's had a son from Calixto Garcia Iniguez, son Calixto Garcia Iniguez y Enamorado. Later Manuela married to Federico Perez in the 1880's? & had 4 children; Eduardo Perez y Enamorado, Antonia Perez y Enamorado, Concepcion Perez y Enamorado &
Amparo Perez y Enamorado, all Born starting from 1880's to
1890's?, no date of death or place. Let me know if you want more info.on the Cabrera or If you may have any info. on the Perez.

Hi Nancy, the Cabrera in my family tree involved my great-great grandparents Francisco Cabrera & Maria Perez from Guanabacoa, Cuba. They had a child Jose Cabrera who married Francisca Vera. (They may have had additional children, I don't know). Jose had only one child with that wife - Esperanza Cabrera (my grandmother). Upon the death of his wife, Jose remarried Amparo Casas and had three additional children Antonio, Angel and Obdulia.
