It has been a story with my father's side of the family that how the Deffke's came to America was by boat in the mid 1800's. A nobleman's daughter eloped with Deffke and they set off for a new life in America...ultimately Scottsbluff, NE. I'm looking for any shred of a surname to use in my search. Throughout Netherland History as well as through out Pomeranian History with the belief there is a connection. Everything e-mailed will be appreciated!! Thank you.

Other DOPKE's listed; MRS. CAROLINE DOPKE, BENNIE DOPKE, LOUIS DOPKE. This is from a listing in the KANE COUNTY ILLINOIS 1918 Farmers Directory.
