You stated that you were looking for Emile Theard whose parents are Clemence Dupard (actually Duparc) and Theophile Theard. Theophile Theard is my great-great grandfather.
I recently found out that Clemence Duparc is the daughter of slave owner, Flagile Duparc and a slave named Henriette Jean Pierre. They had three children together, including Clemence (who gave herself the Americanized name Clementine after slavery). Clemence married Theophile Theard when she was 15 in 1877.
They had 13 children together including Emile Arthur Theard (1882-1958) and my great grandfather, Romalis Theard (1889-1948). I have a picture of my great grandfather posted and many others.

www.lauraplantation.comFlagy's mother's family established the first plantation in Natchitoches. They were the Prud'homme family. If you google Prud'homme you will find numerous historical documents and records and photos.
Hope this helps. If you have any photos of Emile or his wife and children, please share them with me.
