He was my ggg-grandfather, and I am trying to find where he could be buried. He died in 1864, in Claiborne Parish, apparently had fallen ill during the Civil War. He was a pvt, co c, 13th btn, Mtd partisan rangers. He was married to Missouri Sue Davis and they had one child, a daughter, Anna Catherine Brown. She was born in Claiborne Parish in 1861. I have attached the document that I have a copy of if that helps. If anyone has any info or can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

HERE IS A LIST OF CEMETERIES IN CLAIBORNE PARISH
http://www.usgwarchives.net/la/claiborne/cemetery.htm

Check other Parishes here:
http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm

And it is possible his body was removed to a military cemetery, Port Hudson
or Parish location .
Did his wife file for a pension after he died?
Good luck in your search

Who were his parents? My son in law's DNA says he is possibly related to this family and we would love to know more. Thanks, Paula Denson

David D Brown
1800-1836

And I believe Catherine Bragg.

If his DNA is related then he would be related to me. :)
